I want to encourage and promote women fighters: Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez who co-owns the Delhi Heroes team was present at the At Launch of The Super Fight League (SFL) Season 2 on Monday. During media interaction, the actress said, she wants to encourage and promote women fighters.
The ‘Judwaa 2’ actress was asked if being associated with SFL was a business move or love for sports, she said, “Even if I love business, it is important that you follow your passion. What I really loved about SFL and of the main draws for me was the fact that there were women fighters. I really want to encourage and promote that. And make sure that women are encouraged to stand up for themselves and take up fighting if they want to.”
As a team owner, she said she feels proud to be associated with the league to help spread awareness of women’s contribution to the field. “I did a film two years ago called ‘Brothers’, I was actually introduced to MMA (mixed martial arts) there and I thought this was amazing. What I love about this is that they encourage women fighters and it’s much needed. I am here with Super Fight League to re-promote that, ‘we have women in this field’. And that’s what I am most proud.”
Tiger Shroff also co-owns the ‘Bangaluru Tigers’ along with Shreeram Suresh and Vinodini Suresh was present at the event.
When asked about his experience with SFL he said, “It was bigger than I thought the event would be. Hats off to the whole league, and to the committee. I think they have done a fantastic job. Very proud to be part of the association and the fact that here in India we have got something that is this huge.”
Tiger who has mastered several forms of martial arts himself said being in the ring with the fighters was a high for him. “I was in the ring as well. And it was like a high for me, to be able to perform a few kicks in the ring for the audience and fighters. It was a huge honor for me.”
There are many other Bollywood Celebs that co-owns teams of the Super Fight League like, Ajay Devgan, Randeep Hooda, Arbaaz Khan, Salim Merchant, and Sulaiman Merchant.
The Super Fight League will be exclusively aired on MTV February 2018 onwards.
