World Aids Day is observed on December 1 every year to create awareness about the symptoms, causes, and preventives of the pandemic disease HIV/AIDS that has taken an unprecedented number of lives.
During her media interaction and about the initiative, expressed that she plans to eradicate the disease from the world, not just India.
“A lot of people think that his disease of AIDS, which is fatal, has been eradicated, but as a matter of fact, it hasn’t been eradicated. It is still pretty much present and a lot of kids and grownups are living with it and fight it, a lot of people find it embarrassing to say it”
“God has blessed us with good health, and the only reason I come here to support the cause because the kids, who were here today, they have been so encouraging but it disheartened me to see them like that, I want to eradicate this fatal disease and epidemic from the world, not only India” said .
The event was graced by Geeta Kapoor, Tara Sharma, and Shaina. Through this campaign, AHF aims to create a pool of willing blood donors pools to serve people with the disease.
