Bollywood Stars Mourn The Loss of Shashi Kapoor


Actor has passed away after a prolonged illness. He was 79. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Sunday with a chest infection and died on Monday.
Bollywood superstars like Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, and many more expressed their grief over the sudden demise of the actor.
Ajay Devgn shared on his social media, he wrote “You won’t be forgotten. Rest in peace #ShashiKapoor ji ”
Dangal actor Aamir Khan wrote a long message for the deceased actor. He wrote, “Shashi uncle was not only a great star and a passionate filmmaker, but also a wonderful human being. His work has always given Indian audiences great joy. His contribution to Indian theatre was huge, Prithvi theatre is the favourit venue of both performers and audiences alike. His passing away is a sad day for all of us. My condolences to Sanjana, Kunal, Karan and everyone in the family. May his soul rest in peace. Love and respect. a.”
offered his condolences and wrote, ‘’Innumerable Bollywood dreams came to life watching your iconic dialogue, “Mere paas maa hai.” Your tremendous contribution to cinema will always be remembered. RIP #ShashiKapoor ji .’’

Kapoor also formed an enormously successful on-screen partnership with superstar Amitabh Bachchan, with whom he acted in blockbusters including “Deewar” (1975), “Kabhi Kabhie” (1976), “Trishul” (1978) and “Namak Halaal” (1982).
Kapoor married British actress Jennifer Kendal. In 1978 they set up Mumbai’s Prithvi Theatre, which remains India’s leading theatre venue. Kendal died in 1984. They are survived by their daughter, Sanjana, and sons Kunal and Karan, all of whom have had acting stints.
