Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, and director Neeraj Pandey were present at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Aiyaary’ on Tuesday. During media interaction the director said, didn’t want to show it as part of Baby’s franchise.
When asked if he ever thought about making Aiyaary a part of the ‘Baby’ franchise since the films seem to have a similar backdrop from the trailer. “Not at all. There are completely different films actually. ‘Baby’ was espionage-action-thriller and Aiyaary, in my opinion, is a drama-thriller.”
Sidharth will be performing in the film along with many veterans like Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, and Bajpayee, when asked if he felt any pressure to perform, Malhotra said, “more than pressure I was more excited to share the screen with so many actors I admire. Even the director, I have been a big fan of his work. I think there was an excitement to be in the same frame and do such work with Manoj sir who is dramatic and the whole film is based on a relationship between these character share.”
Talking about Sidharth’s preparation for the film he said, “Every actor as to prepare but Neeraj sir is somebody who does all the homework and makes it very easy for the actors and the team. In a scene, everyone knows what everyone is doing and he knows exactly what he wants, which is why things are much clearer and the shooting goes much faster and there is no element of doubt on set.”
Aiyaary is produced by Motion Picture Capital and directed by Neeraj Pandey. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Naseeruddin Shah, Pooja Chopra and Anupam Kher.
The film scheduled to release on 26th Jan 2018.
