Actor Rajkummar Rao hosted a special screening of upcoming web-series “Bose Dead/Alive” for the entire fraternity here in Mumbai. During his media interaction, the actor stated that he draws a lot of inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan when it comes to working relentlessly.
This year alone Rajkummar Rao had six different releases, such as Trapped, Raabta, Behen Hogi Teri, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Newton and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, now the actor will be seen in “Bose Dead/Alive”. The actor is relentlessly working, despite his leg injury, when asked about promotion and shooting becoming tiresome, actor quipped he draws inspiration from Big B.
“I am not tired; this is my age to work. I mean, look at Amitabh Bachchan, at his age he is still killing it, so we take a lot of inspiration from him and learn a lot from him” said Rajkummar.
Bose: Dead/Alive is an upcoming historical period drama web series, based on the life of Subhas Chandra Bose. The show stars Rajkummar Rao, portraying the character of Bose and shares the preparations for the role.
“I did a hell lot of preparation for Subhash Chandra Bose character, I gained a lot of weight, and I put on close to 12-13 kilo’s, then I had to shave my head. I read quite a few books on him, watched as many documentaries as I could, I’d listen to his radio speeches” added Rao.
The Trailer was released recently, which went viral and Rajkummar is happy with the response. He said, “I am getting a good response. A lot of people have seen it, everyone gave me a good response, and even the response to the trailer has been overwhelming. On 20th the entire series will be online, so I am really excited and thrilled”
Further adding details about the series, Rao said, “There are total of nine episodes, which will be online on 20th on ALT Balaji App. Each episode is 20-25 minutes each. It is very accessible and it will be an easy watch for everyone”
The series premiere on ALTBalaji on 20 November 2017.
