Actor Jackie Shroff along with legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai was spotted at the re-premiere of 1983 released Hero, here in Mumbai. During his media interaction, Jackie shared that his co-star Meenakshi Seshadri was “Dedicated” and “Disciplined”.
“This song “NindiyaSe Jagi Bahar” during the song Meenakshi had 104 degree Celsius fever. She got a morning shot call at five and she had to do this cold waterfall scene. Her dedication and discipline was remarkable” added Jackie Shroff sharing his acting experience with Meenakshi.
Subhash Ghai directorial Hero launched Jackie Shroff in Bollywood and the actor credits his entire successful career to the filmmaker.
“I would like to credit Subhash Ghai for my career. He gave me the chance. And of course blessing of my mother and love of fans” added Jackie.
The movie was screened on “26-11” eve, which actor Jackie remembered and paid his respect to the families.
“I would like to pay my respect for 26-11, I would like to pay respect and love to the families with folded hands” added Jackie.
Subhash Ghai also added that Jackie Shroff was not only a newcomer at the time but he was a non-actor too, but a good student.
“Jackie Shroff was a newcomer and non-actor; he didn’t know anything about acting at the time of Hero, but he was a great student. He learned acting and now he is a good actor. Now Jackie Shroff is a huge star and his son, Tiger Shroff is also a big star” added Subhash.
Hero also starred Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Shakti Kapoor, Madan Puri and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.
