India Can Solve Terrorism Issue – Prasoon Joshi

Parsoon Joshi graced the second edition of the “26 11 Stories of Strength” here in Mumbai. During his media interaction veteran lyricist, Prasoon stated that India can remove terrorism from its root.
“I feel when we talk about terrorism the whole world will come together to fight terrorism, but India has an ability to find a solution. We could reach the core of an issue and remove it from the roots; such is our culture and tradition, and this we can witness in our history that we reach to the core of the problem”
“Yes it is important to fight terrorism but it is more important to solve it. I think with right intention and intent, we can reach there” said Prasoon.
Further, Prasoon also paid his respect to the people who sacrificed their lives. He said, “I would like to pay respect and tribute to people and families, who sacrificed their lives. I would like to bow and respect those security and police personnel’s whose help has saved so many lives”
also talked about that Indians take a lot of pride in having dialogues and debates about the issues, but we should pay attention to action part as well.
“We take a lot of pride in the fact that we’ve dialogues and talk about things and issues, but the danger of having a dialogue is that sometimes it can become an end in itself. It gives you a quasi-satisfaction of having done something by having a dialogue, but we should raise questions on that too, are we talking so much that actions are not taken because that is very important”
To remember the victims and the innocent lives lost, The Indian Express in partnership with Facebook organized the second edition of the Stories of Strength event. It hosted survivors and children of the victims of the attack.
The event was directed by Feroz Abbas Khan. Among the speakers at the event were Amitabh Bachchan, , Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command Vice-Admiral Girish Luthra and Divya Salaskar, daughter of slain encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar.
