Gurmeet Choudhary – Working in Paltan Is An Opportunity


Gurmeet Choudhary was spotted with his entire Paltan team at a lunch party here in Mumbai. During his media interaction, the actor said working in Paltan is an opportunity he didn’t wanted to miss.
“My father is in the army and he will be retiring next year, so I have seen army since my childhood. I was born in an army hospital. I studied in an army school, so to me, the army is everything. I’d watched Border and I have been JP Dutta’s Fan, so when I got the chance to work in Paltan, I jumped on it. I didn’t want to miss this opportunity” said Gurmeet.
Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane and Gurmeet Choudhary hosted a Lunch party after completing sixty grueling days of shoot in Ladakh for JP Dutta directorial Paltan.
Gurmeet Choudhary expressed they shot in some of the worst conditions and one time he needed oxygen from an ambulance.
“There was a sequence where I’d to run and sprint, and I was struggling with the lack of oxygen, so I went to JP Dutta and I told him that I need oxygen. Thank god, there was an ambulance present at the location, so I was given oxygen immediately and only after that I felt better. So that fear of not getting the oxygen and what will happen, so we had to work in those conditions, but there was this zeal that we’re playing army officers, so we had to shoot and work for them” added Gurmeet.
Gurmeet also hailed India’s Manushi Chhillar, who has won the Miss World beauty pageant for the year 2017. The win comes 17 years after Priyanka Chopra brought home the coveted title in the year 2000.
“After 17 years, such an opportunity has come, so it a happy moment. All I would like to say that it has made our country proud and glorious” said Gurmeet.
Talking about the plot of the movie, Gurmeet confirmed that the movie is based on Indo-China war. The actor said, “This movie Paltan is based on India-China war, where we have to do a lot of action”
Paltan is slated to hit the screens in 2019.
