Don’t Protest Before Watching Padmavati – Richa Chadda

Actress Richa Chadda was spotted at the song launch of Fukrey Returns here in Mumbai. During her media interaction, the actress shared her thoughts on Padmavati controversy, said watch the film first.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmavati is being opposed by Karni Sena on religious and historical sentiments. Richa Chadda, who has worked with filmmaker before stated at least watch the film before protesting.
“With all due respect and love, I am also a Hindu, and I don’t think religion is so Kaccha (weak) that a movie can break it. And I think it is a specialty of India, that we are a democracy, so watch the film and later if you have objections, do object. There is body in India, which certifies the films, so they have done their work”
“And I have so much believe in my faith, tradition, and culture, that it will not shake because of some 2-3 hours long film,” said Richa Chadha.
The Fukrey Returns team such as Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha, filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba launched the song, Mehbooda.
The club song is an ode to the Mohammed Rafi chartbuster that featured Dharmendra-Zeenat Aman, ‘O Meri Mehbooba’ from the 1977 blockbuster ‘Dharam Veer’.
The song is composed and recreated by Prem & Hardeep, ‘Mehbooba’ is crooned by Neha Kakkar and Yasser Desai, with a rap by Raftaar.
Filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba expressed that he has tried to keep the retain essence of “Fukrey” in the sequel. He said, “There isn’t much change in the world of Fukrey with the sequel. Their world is same, Fukrey’s are the same, their caper is the same, but there are few new twists in the story. If we change Fukrey’s in the film, the entire flavor of the film will be gone”
Apart from fun and comedy, the movie also holds a special message of wildlife preservation, which is evident by the trailer, featuring Tigers and Snakes.
“It is a film for wildlife preservation. It is so important now that we are losing forests, and they are endangered species, so through this film, we are trying to tell people, don’t kill Tigers or snakes” confirmed Richa Chadha.
The movie is slated for 15th November 2017 release.
