Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Celebrates her Father’s Birthday


Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped out to celebrate her father’s birthday with children’s of Smile Foundation. During her media interaction, the actress expressed that she is honoring her late father’s memories.
“Honoring the memory of my father Mr. Krishnaraj Rai and his love for the children and his firm belief that all children must have a life of good health and good education. Smile Train has so graciously declared today that 20th of November, my father’s birthday, as the day of Smile”
“I am very humbled, we are very humbled, very thankful for this kind generosity and we can only say a heartfelt thank you. This day obviously has been, and is, and always will be personally special but by declaring as the Day of Smile, you’re giving us the reason to smile today” said Aishwarya Rai during her media interaction.
Aishwarya Rai celebrated her late father Krishnaraj Rai’s birth anniversary (November 20) in a special way by donating free surgeries to 100 children born with cleft lips and palates through Smile Train India and announce the day as ‘Day of Smiles’ to celebrate a day of joy and cheer.
Further adding to the cause and her association Aishwarya Rai said her is grateful for the association.
“I’ve been working with them through my foundation for a couple of years now and I am very grateful for the association because I know, together we are doing what should be done. It is the only way, it is a natural way”
“Having us recognized that we can spread the smile beyond and nothing us would please us more than to be able to give so many children a true reason to smile and to lead healthy, happy and fulfilling life” added Aishwarya Rai.
As Smile Train’s Global Goodwill Ambassador, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been supporting the international cleft charity for the last 9 years, and through The Aishwarya Rai Foundation, her father, Late Mr. Krishnaraj Rai had supported cleft lip and palate surgeries for 100 children in 2014.
The actress visited the suburban hospital in Mumbai with her mother Vrinda Rai and her adorable daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan to spent time with cleft patients and encouraged the children to live fuller lives and pursue their dreams.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently shooting for Fanney Khan, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
