When you are working with Judi Dench then you have to be at the top of your game says Ali Fazal

Talking about response to his film at international circuit, Ali said, “I am very happy with the response to our film. Our nervousness has ended in last month when first time we showcased the film at Venice International Film Festival then we showcased it in London, Toronto and America. We have completed one month tour showcasing our film at different international platforms. People are liking the film especially in Europe and UK. Tomorrow film is releasing worldwide and it is releasing in India on 13th October so I hope people here also like the film”

He added, “Everybody from the industry has been immensely supportive. Everybody has texted me who are not able to come at the screening. Rakesh Mehra sir, Anand Rai sir and Naseer Sir they all have been very supportive”

Talking about the film, Ali said, “This film talks about racism happened back then. It’s a true story but we have tried to present that in fun way. It’s an odd, unique relationship between an old woman and relatively young man. I feel, 130 years down the line, only people have changed but atmosphere is still the same. It talks about love but over the years, we have done wars, nationalism, politics and it is not working but I feel love is the one the few thing that actually might work and I hope people see that in this film”

Talking about amalgamation of Bollywood and Hollywood, said, “I think the world is getting smaller. We are coming together with the entry of Amazon and Netflix and they are doing amazing job here, so finally filmmaking process is becoming more democratic and therefore good actors are getting job”
