Anupam Kher who has been appointed as the new chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) was present at the MAMI opening night on Thursday. During media interaction the actor said, today’s youth is capable of teaching a thing or two to even an experienced actor like him.
When asked about the letter written by the institute students to the new FTII chairman, Anupam said, “Whatever I have to discuss, I will discuss with the students over there. I am like their senior, I have been a student there and now 38 yrs later will go back as a chairman, I think it is a great time to celebrate. But I won’t be going with any baggage I won’t be going with any preconceived ideas about what I want to tell them.”
“Today’s youth is also capable of teaching a thing or two to even an experienced actor like me. We will sit across and talk about it and take this great institution to greater heights.” Said the veteran actor.
Kher has appeared in over 500 films, has been part of the theatre circles and part of acclaimed international films such as the 2002 Golden Globe-nominated Bend It Like Beckham, Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution, and the 2013 Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook.
‘Ranchi Diaries’ has been produced by Anupam Kher, Rashmin Majithia, and Coconut motion pictures. The film stars Anupam Kher, Jimmy Shergill, Soundarya Sharma, Himansh Kohli, and Taaha. The film is about young aspiring actress/model and her Godfather who can do whatever it takes to make it big in life.
