Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was present at the closing ceremony of the Eighth Jagran Film Festival, during a media interaction said, Jagran has made a big impact in creating awareness about films among common man.
When asked about working with Vishal Bhardwaj and co starring Kiriti Sanon, Nawaz said, “I am doing a film with him (Bhardwaj). But I don’t know who is being cast opposite me. It hasn’t been decided yet and that decision is up to the filmmakers. But it is official that we are working with each other. I always wanted to work with Vishal ji.”
“I visit Jagran film festival each year, and the way they travel across the country and create awareness is amazing. I believe Jagran has made a big impact in creating awareness about films among common man. I hope that the way they are progressing they keep moving forward. Thanks to them all kinds of films are able to reach those parts of the country where it’s usually not possible.” Said Nawazuddin on 28th Sept.
He further added, “People don’t get a chance to watch films made artists, non commercial cinema hasn’t reached the masses but Jagran has made it possible. Due to festivals films receive a buzz otherwise it I shard to release films made by small artists but because of film festivals they also get an audience.”
Nawazuddin was last seen in Mom’ directed by Ravi Udyawar costarring Sridevi, ‘Munna Michael’ directed by Sabbir Khan costarring Tiger Shroff and ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ directed by Kushan Nandy.
His future project includes an untitled film with Vishal Bhardwaj as a producer which will be directed by Aditya Nimbalkar.
