Pronounced guilty, he is jailed for the crime he never committed. Deprived of the freedom he rightfully deserves, Kishan decides to break out the prison with the help of a bunch of prisoners and an NGO worker (Diana Penty) and the facade of performing in a Inmates special band. Will he accomplish his dream of forming a band in the prison or will he manage to escape the dungeon, which will he choose? The estimated budget of the film is 30 Crores.
The film pitted against Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Simran’ was predicted to start slow on box office collection. The film did not manage to create a lot of curiosity due to Simran’s buzz and story expected to be similar to Qaidi Band.
On the opening day (Friday) as per prediction of 2-3 crore the numbers managed to graze the mark at 2.04 crore. The great star-cast and last minute promotions helped they start at an acceptable number.
Saturday on the other hand, the movie showed some growth reaching up to 2.82 cr. and on Sunday got 3.56 Cr. The movie now stands at the total of 8.42 cr crores. The continued slow growth and good reviews may help the film reach its expected Collection at the end of the first week.
