Kirti Kulhari, Karan Tacker, Tisca Chopra and Sarah Jane Dias attended panel discussion to discuss about freedom of expression which was organized by INDASDA Foundation along with DOC PLUS, doctor’s magazine on Tuesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Kirti Kulhari stated that where her thinking ends as an actor, Irrfan Khan starts to think from that point.
Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari are working together for the first time in ‘Raita’, when asked Kirti about this project, she said, “I am have film coming up Raita in which, I will be seen working with Irrfan Khan. We have just finished shooting for it. It’s a T-Series film. Irrfan has another film with them so they are planning to release that film first. I think this film might not release this year but we are planning to release it in January or February and trailer of the film will release 40-45 days earlier before the release of the film.”
When asked her what the experience was working with Irrfan Khan, she said, “Irrfan Khan is legend. I feel shameful to call myself an actor in front of him because Irrfan is surely the best we have in the country right now and internationally also he is doing so much of good work. He is so grounded and simple human being and I feel where my thinking ends as an actor; Irrfan Khan starts to think from that point”.
Kirti also spoke about how she deals with stress in her personal life, She said, “As an actor, there is physical, emotional and mental stress that we go through and especially the kind of films I do like Pink and Indu Sarkar therefore, I usually, after completing my shooting of the film, I like to take a break and in that period, I like to travel and enjoy without thinking about anything. Apart from that, on every day basis, I do yoga and meditation, listen music, watch movies, and spend time with family so these are the few things from which I try to be stress free”.
Kirti also spoke about freedom of expression and dealing with depression, she said, “We have one basic fear of judgment. We think a lot about what people will think about us. For that matter, we don’t even open up with our family because that judgmental feeling we can sense everywhere so I feel as human being, we should create an environment in our family where people can express their feelings without any fear or judgment”
“If you are going through rough phase in your life, you can always go out to your friends, family or a doctor for that”.
Kirti last seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar and after that she will be seen in Raita along with Irrfan Khan.
It is directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by T-Series and RDP Motion Pictures, the film, also features Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Gajraj Rao and Pradhyuman Singh in key roles.
