However, There was another Freedom fighter “Shahid Bhagat Singh” acts of dramatic violence against the British in India and execution at age 23 made him a folk hero of the Indian independence movement. At the age of 23 he was convicted and hanged till death in March 1931. At that time his story was so inspirational for all other freedom fighters and post Independence people stated love to watch his life story on Big Scree.

Movies created in Bollywood on Shahid Bhagat Singh’s Life

There are five movies created on Shahid Bhagat Singh’s Life, first film got released in 1963. Directed by Jagdish Gautam, starring Prem Abeed, Jairaj, Smriti Biswas and Ashita Mazumdar. The film received good response by the audience, who got to see for the first time on the big screen. Post that another film got released in 1965 titled “Shaheed”, where Monoj Kumar played a role of Shaheed Bhagat singh this become a benchmark for the Indian classic Cinema. This film has also given a new Super Star “Manoj Kumar” post that film he got a title called ‘patriotic star” and he did many film based on patriotic theme.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh Starring Ajay Devgn, Shaheed-E-Azam Starring Sonu Sood and 23 March 1931: Shaheed starring Bobby Deol. However, except Ajay Devgn Starrer Bhagat singh rest two are failed to impress the audience and Ajay Devgn’s The Legend of Bhagat Singh won two National Awards
