Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao collaboration has resulted in many critically and commercially acclaimed movies. The filmmaker claims that directing Rajkummar is a spiritual experience.
Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao once again have collaborated for upcoming web-series “Bose Dead/Alive”. The web-series made under ALT Balaji digital platform saw its trailer launch today.
During his media interaction Hansal Mehta said, “I had a lot of heart to direct it, I mean directing Rajkummar Rao is a spiritual experience for me. I get ten times more than my vision from him. I really wanted to direct the series but Pulkit is one heck of promising director, whom I’ve guided and got the series made, he has done a wonderful job”
The National Award Winning Filmmaker Hansal Mehta credits his career to Rajkummar Rao, with whom he has done movies like Shahid, City lights and more, says the actor has changed his life.
“When I restarted my career in 2011, I was looking for an actor and there he walked into my office. Same weekend Ragini MMS released, I watched the film with my producer friend and told him, with little apprehension, I said he will be Shahid Azmi. My life has changed ever since” says Hansal Mehta.
Though the series is based on a book but Hansal Mehta admits that they have taken certain liberties with story-telling, which will perhaps enhance the respect for the freedom fighter.
“We have taken certain liberties keeping Netaa ji(Subhash Chandra Bose) in mind, keeping the respect for the man intact, keeping the research in mind, we have taken certain liberties. I think with these liberties, Netaaji will come more closer to your hearts” added Hansal.
The next collaboration of Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao, a film titled Omerta, will soon release.
