But at the same time, I think an actor has to keep reinventing himself once set in a zone. Now you will see I am doing Sriram Raghavan’s next film a dark thriller in which there will be a big gear shift for my character and the genre. I want to do everything, I want to be an Amol Palekar also and Shah Rukh Khan at the same time.”
The ‘Vicky Donor’ actor was asked if he feels skeptic about acting for such different roles as to how his family will react and what thought process is going when being narrated about such roles. “Coming from a decent family, we don’t want work in a film that our families won’t be able to see or will make our families feel embarrassed. I don’t want to be part of such films and there isn’t a need. And if you pick up a taboo subject and don’t take it to the families than the film does not fulfill its purpose at all. Until we can create a progressive society its motive hasn’t been completed.”
