Kriti Kulkhari, who was present at the screening of her Film, Indu Sarkar on Thursday spoke about Madhur’s efforts and said, Without Madhur, the film wouldn’t have released.
Kriti who is playing the title role of Indu Sarkar spoke about director Madhur Bhandarkar and his efforts for the film’s release. “I am very happy and excited for the film. Now we just have to wait for the audiences’ love and reviews. I am a little nervous also, thinking about how the audience will react tomorrow when they see the film. But the fact that we have come this far makes me really happy and thanks to Madhur, without him this film wouldn’t have released.”
Madhur Bhandarkar, the director, and writer of Indu Sarkar spoke to the reporters about how he feels about the film’s release. He said, “I am very happy that the trauma filled days are over. We struggled so much in the last few days, from the high court to Supreme Court and now the movie is finally releasing. We are excited and nervous also because the entire cast and crew will watch the movie for the first time.”
He further added about the changes implemented in the final cut of the film, “When the revising committee saw the movie they loved it and praised it. The essence of the film is intact we didn’t have to cut any major parts of the film. There are two very minor cuts and other two scenes where we had to add the censored beep and just the disclaimer. So we didn’t have to work on all the 16- 17 cuts that were previous suggested, and that makes me feel the happiest.”
Ashutosh Gowariker, who was also present at the Indu Sarkar’s screening spoke to media about filmmakers right, he said, “It is a great thing that the result was in their favor. I think no film should be stopped from release. And I am happy the Madhur’s film is finally releasing. When a film maker tries to make films about politics or of national interest, then it could be war or in this case emergency, the filmmaker should have the right to express what he wants to comment about that situation. So I am looking forward to Madhur’s film today.
