Dharmendra says, Poster boys will be a bigger hit than the original and Shreyas should work on a sequel.
“I had heard about the Marathi film, that it was a big hit. But after watching this trailer I can say that this will be a bigger hit than the original. I think Poster boys two will also come out. Shreyas should start working on that too.” Dharmendra said during media interaction.
‘Poster boys’ is a official remake of Shreyas Talpade’s Marathi production, ‘Poshter Boyz’ which released in 2014.
Shreyas Talpade who is debuting as a director with Poster boys spoke about the film’s remake, “If there were small necessary changes we only made that, we pretty much stuck to the original film. That’s what people had loved and we didn’t want to unnecessarily drift form the original screen play.”
Bobby Deol who is playing one of the lead characters spoke about the dialect he had to use for the film, he said, “It was a big challenge to speak in pure Hindi. Shreyas and I did a lot for workshops together; it was amazing how Shreyas knew everyone’s dialogues, I wanted him to say the dialogues for me.(laughs) It was a difficult task but also a lot of fun and exciting..I am so nervous for the film’s dubbing.”
Sunny Deol who is known for action roles spoke about playing a very different character, “The script is very interesting and when it’s a great idea the actor just wants to do it no matter what. It gave me an opportunity to do something which I wouldn’t have done otherwise.”
The film cast also includes Sonali Kulkarni as Sunny’s wife, Lara Dutta, and Urvashi Rautela.
Sunny Deol was last seen in Ghayal Once Again in 2016 and has Bhaiyyaji Superhitt in his schedule after Poster boys.
Bobby Deol will make a comeback with this film after his last appearance in 2013’s Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Bobby Deol’s future projects include Dildaara Junction.
Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Poster boys is scheduled to be released on 8 September 2017.
