Vidya Balan’s “Begum Jaan,” about the injury confronted by uprooted ladies in a house of ill-repute amid the Partition time, will hit the screens on Jan. 6, 2017.
Created by Play Entertainment, the film is helmed by National Award-victor Srijit Mukherji, who is making his directorial debut in Bollywood.

Balan assumes the title part of the madam of a massage parlor in the film, which likewise stars Naseeruddin Shah, Rajat Kapoor, Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Ila Arun, Ashish Vidyarthi and Chunky Pandey.
