The actors take on lead roles for Karan Johar, Salman Khan’s upcoming action franchise.
While rumour mills had earlier suggested that Mansukhani was to roll with a sequel to his 2008 comedy, Dostana, it was followed by reports that his next would be a Fast and Furious-style racing drama. A source close to the production has revealed that the collaboration between Dharma Productions and Salman Khan Productions is an action film, which the makers are keen to turn into a franchise.
“The banners are keen to make this film the first instalment of an action series. Discussions about two follow ups are already in talks,” reveals the source.
The big budget actioner’s leading man Sushant, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror (March 1), had said he was eagerly looking forward to start work on a big-budget production for which he had been in talks for over three months.
The actor, who will be seen as Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Neeraj Pandey’s biopic, is in Europe filming Dinesh Vijan’s directorial debut, Raabta.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline represented the NGO, Habitat for Humanity, at the European Parliament for a panel discussion on housing and sustainable urban development on Tuesday.
