Actor and producer Farhan Akhtar says that Gully Boy has been received well and its been a good opening day for the film at the box-office.
Farhan Akhtar was interacting with media on the sidelines of Lalkaar concert in Mumbai.

Recently releases Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is produced by Farhan Akhtar’s home production Excel Entertainment.

Talking about the film opening with good response from all quarters, Farhan said, “It feels great, reviews are really good, and words of mouth from the people who have seen the film are really good. And I believe today it has been a good day for the film at the box-office. I hope it keeps going”
Bollywood celebs such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Gaurav Kapoor, and Shibani Dhandekar graced the Lalkaar concert, held at Bandra Fort Amphitheatre, was led by the Population Foundation of India (PFI), Farhan’s MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) and director Feroz Abbas Khan.

Talking about the concert and cause, Farhan said, “This is the second year that we’re doing it, this one is called Lalkaar. Last year we also did it, raising our voices against gender violence and this year it is a little bit broader, we’re focusing on inequality, less discrimination, ending discrimination, equal opportunity and access to health and education, that’s the focus of this year” 

Farhan also added that it is always special to perform in Mumbai, his home town but unfortunately there aren’t many concerts happening in town.
He added, “It is always special to perform in Mumbai, wish there were more concerts happening in Mumbai, unfortunately, there aren’t many that happen. But every time we get an opportunity to play in Mumbai, it feels great. It is my home town. So to entrain people that I have grown up with, co-habit that city with, it is always special”

On the work front, Farhan Akhtar will be next seen in “The Sky Is Pink” opposite Priyanka Chopra.

A few days ago on a Saturday morning, Maniesh spent time with the policemen at the Bandra Reclamation where he spent time with many Traffic policemen, talking about the road safety and as a token of love, even rode the bike with them. 

This indeed was a gentle act of appreciation by our main man to encourage the safety drive for all. 
Adds Maniesh, “Road safety is extremely important and vital. We live in a very busy lives where all of us are always in a rush, but it’s important to understand the safety measures and thus, I felt if there is anyway I could contribute to this, I would happily give in”Hello

On Valentine’s Day, superstar Arya and Sayyeshaa confirms their relationship and announced that with blessing from their respective parents, the duo is all set to marry!

Arya took to his social media profile and made the announcement. He wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day #Blessed @sayyeshaa”
He also shared a note, which read, “With the blessing of our parents and family, we are delighted to share with you the most beautiful day of our lives. We are getting married this march! We seek your love and blessings in our new journey of happiness and togetherness”

Sayyeshaa Saigal, who made her Bollywood debut in Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay, will be tying the knot with Tamil actor Arya in March. The actress and grand niece of veteran actors Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, took to the micro-blogging site to confirm her wedding with Arya in March 2019.

She shared the same note and captioned it, “Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Arya and Sayyeshaa reportedly grew close on the sets of their 2018 movie Ghajinikanth.

Hip Hop and Rap battles are new in India, especially on-screen but if you know the hangouts and dens in metros, it is an upcoming and vibrant culture. Rappers like Divine and Naezy comes from humble beginnings but has a massive fan base and the movie takes a lot of inspiration from their lives.

Zoya Akhtar directorial is cleverly portrayed but the message is simple and on spot – Apna Time Aayega – is possible. Every dream is worth chasing, maybe with a stroke of luck and constant trying, you might finally see the end of the rainbow.

Living on the other side of luck and life, Murad (Ranveer Singh) is a young buck, who wants to make it big, though his social strata are massive hindrance which puts a huge barrier between his dreams and reality.
Living with his family and troublesome father Aftab Sheikh (Vijay Raaz), who is a driver and urge his son to take up a job but Murad’s dream a different and musical, he wants to be a rapper.
The movie chronicles the struggle and painful lives of low-income families. Murad’s struggle looks real as he tries to deal with life; lack of money, lack of respect or opportunities and a broken family.

The hip-hop journey takes the audience to a whole new world of narrow back alleys of the slums, the bond between people and rappers pouring their hearts out with rap-battles. The kaleidoscope of emotions, colors, people, and rhythm is beautifully captured in the film.
Murad has a girl-friend, Safeena (Alia Bhatt), who is a medical student and understands his aspirations and asks him to pursue his dream.

The big winner in the film, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt – their on-screen chemistry is worth every penny. Murad is the heart and Safeena is the soul of the film. The passion between these two young actors is captured with intense lip-locks and passionate stares. Both Ranveer and Alia are in supreme form and you find yourself applauding their love.
Actor Vijay Raaz, Kalki Koechlin, and Siddhant Chaturvedi deserve applause for making every frame and dialogue worth.

The real hero of the film – Music! Created by holy trinity – Shankar-Ehsaan and Loy along with a series of talented rappers are distinguished and beautifully crafted. Songs like Azadi, Meri Gully Mein, and Apna Time Aayega are ”rapped” to perfection!

Kangana says she is preparing to bring her own life story to the big screen as a director.

In a statement the actress revealed the project won’t be  a propaganda  but a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey

“My own story is the subject of my next directorial. But it is not a propaganda film with characters who are starkly black and white, rather it is a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey so far with plenty of lighter moments. I’m emboldened by the love of the people around me, who have never judged me but accepted me for who I am,” she added.

KV Vijayendra, who wrote Kangana’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will also be writing Kangana’s biopic.

The film is said to go on floors by the end of this year in either October or November.

Kangana said Vijayendra “urged” her, around 12 weeks ago, to let him write a film based on her life. “I was nervous and wary initially, but then, given his stature and the fact that I trust him implicitly, I gave Vijayendra sir the go-ahead on the project,”

The biopic will focus on various aspects of her life but would not name people who have had differences with her in the past. “How can I show my journey without people, I can’t be walking alone. But we will not be taking any names. The idea is to protect me and my life with all its highs and lows,” said Kangana.

Calling it a story of an achiever she said, “In the end, it is the story of an achiever, a girl from the mountains who came into Bollywood without any connections in the industry or even a godfather, and went on to carve a niche for herself against all odds,” 

She was last seen in Manikarnika that marked her directorial debut, the film was produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.
