Social warrior Dia Mirza congratulates Randeep Hooda who has been appointed Ambassador for Migratory species and adds that his commitment will greatly benefit the cause.
Internationally-renowned conservationist Ian Redmond OBE, award-winning explorer and environmentalist Sacha Dench and Indian actor and equestrian and Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda were named CMS Ambassadors for Migratory Species until 2023 under the redesigned Ambassadors Programme launched at CMS COP13.
Actor Randeep Hooda shared the news on his social media profile. He wrote, “In esteemed company on #championsnight with the CO Ambassador of Migratory species @4Apes @sachadench @BonnConvention @UNEP  #COP13.Congratulations to the champions @moefcc @MoCCaEUAE @minambienteIT @kldep @EU_Commission @bmu for their fabulous work to nurture migratory species”
Actress Dia Mirza congratulated the actor and tweeted, “Congratulations @RandeepHooda for being appointed @UNEP Ambassador for Migratory Species! Your passion and commitment will greatly benefit the cause #Biodiversity2020 #MigratorySpecies #COP13 #GlobalGoals #SDGs”
Randeep Hooda is an award-winning film and theatre actor, as well as a professional equestrian. He has advocated for many environmental causes, including wildlife protection and animal welfare, and has generated public awareness for his beach clean-ups in Mumbai.
Meanwhile on the work front, Randeep Hooda is shooting with Salman Khan for hsi forthcoming film Radhe.
As for Dia Mirza, the actress will be seen in forthcoming social drama, Thappad, directed and co-produced by Anubhav Sinha.
