Honey Singh and lulia Vantur starrer Yai Re has been a hit online. Reels of fans doing the hook step have been quite common. Saurabh Prajapati, India’s youngest choreographer, who is the man behind all the amazing dance moves in the track, is elated with the response. Looking back, he shares a fun incident that happened during the promotion of the song and reveals the story behind his funny Instagram reel on Yai Re with the rapper.

“We were promoting Yai Re and several activities were planned. Iulia Vantur, Honey Singh and I were busy making reels with social media influencers. Well I am not a person who makes a lot of reels. But suddenly Honey Singh said Saurabh let’s make a dance reel together on our song. So we did a fun step, instead of our hook step and it was sort of an impromptu presentation. This particular step we are doing in the reel and is also there in the music video, is originally Honey Singh’s idea. He came up with it and we all loved it much like the audience,” he says.

Sharing more back story behind the reel, Saurabh adds, “We played the song and decided that we will do nothing initially and will just stand for a while, and then suddenly will start dancing together. The idea was to let the audience wonder what’s happening, why are they just standing and doing nothing. I remember telling him if he is sure about this video because our song just released and people are going crazy over our hook step, but with this we are giving them something new. And Honey Singh said, ‘I am telling you Saurabh people will trip on it the way they are enjoying the hook step’ and that actually happened (smiles).”

Praising Honey and his talent, he says, “He is energetic, passionate and funny. What I love the most about him is that he enjoys every bit of what he does. He knows exactly what he wants and what the audience would enjoy.”

Saurabh shares how much Honey supported him throughout the making of the song and also said nice, encouraging things to him. He expresses his keenness to work with the rapper again.

“I remember he used to tickle me a lot of times during the shoot. All of a sudden he used to come to me and start tickling for just fun. His warm nature made me feel so comfortable and helped me perform better. I had so much fun working with him on and off the set. Can’t wait to work with him again,” he signs off.
