RajKummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar, who are coming together for the first time, are creating excitement among fans with their upcoming action entertainer Maalik. On Tuesday, the makers released the film’s first song, a romantic track titled Naamumkin, which has been getting a great response. Now, actress Alaya F has given a sweet shoutout to her ‘favourite people’ for their first on-screen pairing.
Taking to Instagram, Alaya F shared a clip of the song on her stories and wrote, “Too many of my favourite people in one film.” RajKummar, too, re-shared her story and captioned it with red heart emoticons.
Alaya has shared the screen with RajKummar in the biographical drama film, Srikanth, based on the life of Srikant Bolla. She has also worked with Manushi in the action thriller film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
The soulful song is sung by Varun Jain and Shreya Ghoshal, the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya with beautiful composition by Sachin-Jigar.
The film is set in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) in 1988 and portrays the gritty underworld and Rajkummar’s rise to a strong figure. It is the first time the actor will be seen in a gangster avatar.
Directed by Pulkit, known for his hard-hitting thrillers and emotionally charged dramas, and produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner along with Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films, Maalik is slated to release in cinemas on 11th July 2025.
