Story: Begum Jaan Story Started with a scene from Connaught place Delhi, where few people trying to rape a girl, but in next scene, something happens that let you think about the current situation of our society. In the next scene, the story went into 70 years back at the time of India and Pakistan partition where Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was narrating the story. The film is a story of Vidya Balan who is running a prostitution business and her palace was in between the border line and whole story run around the survivor of Vidya and her team to save their house from India and Pakistan partition in total Begum Jaan Full Movie is full of drama that connect you emotionally

Direction: Srijeet Mukherjee made a remake of National award winner Bengali film Raj Kahini in a very effective way, However, I think Srijeet Mukherjee’s all focus was on Vidya Balan and a little bit on Gauhar Khan as expecting these two you will not be able to connect more with all other characters. Rest all 9 girls were seen more in the background instead of getting connect more in the story.

Performance: No doubt Vidya Balan is the backbone of the story and she had full justice to her character. From the very first scene to the last scene of the movie you can’t let your eyes off of her. One side she played a very bold role where she is ready to do anything to save her house and her girls from the Indian and Pakistani government and on another side, she is very soft and caring for her girls. Gauhar Khan also played and give justice to Rubin’s character. Misty, Ridhima Tiwari, Flora Saina and Ila Arun were also good in the movie, however, nothing much written for them in the story. Naseeruddin shah was there in the story for less time, he played a role of a king who supports Vidya. Rajit Kapoor and Ashish Vidyarthi played a government officer role but Srijeet can do more with these characters.

Dialogues : Dialogues are the most critical part of the movie as dialogues are main reason to make connect with the audience and in Begum Jaan dialogues were written in a very effective way which supports character’s role and story both. E.g in one scene Vidya said “महीना हमें गिनना आता है साहब….हर बार लाल करके जाता है” and another one “ आप जिसे जुबां से कोठा और दिमाग में R*nडीखाना कहते है वो मेरा घर है …”

Cinematography: Location picked to show story was appropriate for the movie and shot in a very effective way to show Begum Jaan’s world. You feel a story was a little bit slow in the beginning however it’s picked up from the second half when government officers informed Vidya to leave the house as partition line will go from the mid of her house. And later you will see more awesome scenes in movie,

Music: Begum Jaan songs that got beautify with Asha Bhosle, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sonu Nigam, Altamash Faridi, Kalpana Patowary, Shreya Ghoshal, Anmol Malik, Kavita Seth, and Arijit Singh and music given by Anu Malik

Positive Points: Acting and Dialogues
Corrective Points: Story and Screenplay could be a better to give more space and connecting role for rest of the actors.
